Shown below is a Medieval Turkish story about the concept of value (from David Graeber’s book Debt: The First 5,000 Years). Nasruddin (or Nasreddin) was, according to Wikipedia, a 13th century “satirical Sufi figure” and “a populist philosopher and wise man, remembered for his funny stories and anecdotes.”
